Nick_Micouris 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Eug, if you are in Buckhurst Hill why didnt you just go to Abridge VW?
Guest Posted April 16, 2005 There is mention of a Retailer list being at the start of the thread (and in the title) but I can't find it. Has it been edited out? How can I get a copy? I would love to know if my, now historic, dealer for the last 8 years is on it.
tonytiger 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Does anybody have the price list for 2007 that they could post up? I know I can't get those prices myself - but it can be useful for seeing how much discount they can give on some parts, and so whether to push for more than the standard 10% discount. dr_mat 0 Posted January 15, 2007 I think this is so out of date it's not worth chasing. Dealers will very rarely honour this anyway.
Supercharged 2 Posted January 18, 2007 Right - just put the latest price list up... As for getting these prices it's a bit hit and miss but the dealers around suffolk are fairly good and I get discounts without asking but I do buy a hell of a lot of stuff and also get bits for friends etc as well so i'm in there fairly reguarly... the list gives an idea of the discounts that are available anyways! tonytiger 0 Posted January 18, 2007 Thanks for updating this Supercharged. :thumbleft: Any idea who funds the discount? Does the dealer just take a hit on it's profit, or is it claimed back from vag? Still can't really understand why trade get such a big discount anyway.
Yash 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Thanks for the updated list. Does anybody have a list of vag garages that will honour the discount. Croydon vag havent heard of the parts club. Even getting CCGB disount is difficult....and im in there a couple of times a month. Everytime they say the same thing, "Whats CCGB discount?"
joebloggsVR69 0 Posted February 4, 2007 This is an ancient thread, I dont think VAG dealers give discounts to CCGB members these days. GSF do though I still get discounts from the $tealers, but that's because they know me so well, and I've spent a fortune there   Ah.. I only just realised the price list was updated on page 1. Still, my dealer has no idea what the CCGB is :?
VR6 South 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Some dealers will give you a 10% discount if you belong to a VAG related owners club. There's no harm in asking. Peter Cooper in Porstsmouth have always been good to me.
CazzaVR 0 Posted February 4, 2007 I got a 10% discount from Northfield in Cirencester the other day. Just told them I was a CCGB member.
craigowl 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Two out of three dealers gave me 10% discount when I produced my CCGB card and asked if they could. The one who did not, ranted on about how some Edinburgh VW club had "abused the system" and they would have nothing to do with discounts! I could not believe his aggressive style towards a regular customer who had bought two new and one s/h car and given them thousands of pounds worth of business. On the Monday, I phoned up one of the directors of the company who knew me and told him about my experience. He said he could only apologise, but I have never been back in 5 years. craigowl 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Dogzyboy, ranter was not in an Edinburgh VAG dealer, kinda further west and handy for me, if you get my drift. By the way, my son lives in Edinburgh and he takes his Lupo GTi to VAG at Western Motors (Newcraighall?) and likes them. Advantage at west end of Stirling have good name, too. (No experiences of how these two deal with 11 year old Corrados, though, but Advantage parts were OK about discount for CCGB card.) Gotcha! :) I've had experience of both garages in Edinburgh now & I'm not too impressed. I'm going to check out a specialist that Reekie VR recommended next, it's just off Leith Walk.
