Geo 0 Posted March 20, 2006 I'm going to do the same to my golf when I find the time. I have all the bits there to do it just need to get stuck in. I will be taking my chances with a pair of secondhand calipers though, that's for sure!

davidwatsonok 0 Posted March 23, 2006 Update, the £270 package from C&R is inclusive of VAT. Just in case anyone's interested. Makes buying the bits separate a bit pointless.
STORM 2 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Guys, just ordered a pair of rearMK4 calipers from a breakers - I understand there were two types early and late, the early ones being smaller than the later ones. Do we know which ones are compatible with the Corrado?
Supercharged 2 Posted March 28, 2006 STORM 2, I only know of one type on mk4's but there are variants... Unless they are very cheap and very good condition I would buy these new....

andy 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Are all Mk4 Calipers the same? ie does it matter what model they come from?
dinkus 10 Posted March 28, 2006 I think all the rears are the same apart from the 4-motion/R32
Geo 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Guys, just ordered a pair of rearMK4 calipers from a breakers - I understand there were two types early and late, the early ones being smaller than the later ones. Do we know which ones are compatible with the Corrado? I would imagine it's the smaller ones you want. The anniversary model Mk4 GTIs, Audi TTs and Octavia VRS models used a different caliper afaik as they had a bigger vented disc on the rear. Any caliper from an ordinary Mk4 should work fine. I've taken them off 1.4 petrol and TDI models and they were all the same.
STORM 2 0 Posted March 28, 2006 I'll have to see when they arrive - I asked for the ordinary 2L ones . BTW they cost £45 for the pair +VAT +Delivery = total £
STORM 2 0 Posted March 29, 2006 are the MK4 calipers ridged? Do these look like the correct ones?
Supercharged 2 Posted March 30, 2006 Look ok to me and already seem to have the conversion hoses fitted!
Geo 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Look like the right ones to me.
STORM 2 0 Posted March 30, 2006 cheers fellas Anyone got the number for the Goodridge conversion hoses?
andy 0 Posted April 8, 2006 How many flexible hoses are there on the back of a Corrado VR6 is it 2 or 4?
dinkus 10 Posted April 8, 2006 2 hoses from the body of the car to the rear axle (about 5cm long, tops) and another 2 from the axle to the callipers. Then obviously another 2 on the front :)
andy 0 Posted April 9, 2006 So if you go for Goodridges, with Mk4 Calipers can you get a set that fits all of those. Presumably the Mk2 to Mk4 set still has the same short hoses in, just the caliper hoses are different. Hope this is clear!
dinkus 10 Posted April 10, 2006 I do believe so, but I bought mine all at different times, so don't know what the Goodridge part number is for a kit like that
