Seeing as I'm coming up to my 1000th post and she won't be standard(ish) for much longer, though I'd start a thread of my own.

 

SPEC:

1992 2.0 16v (9A)

17" Kahn RSR

Tinted rear lights

Drilled airbox

Weird non-armrest rear seats

Eyebrow spoiler

CorradoVR6-n.o.s, used to mate, left just before they paid the MD off £4m for arsing the entire company up.

 

16v, I must admit - I'll be sorry to see them go, I think big spokers look awesome on the C

 

Can't really remember why I didn't start a thread initially, but like you say Dave, could get interesting. Plans can go one of two ways atm, I'll know which way for sure at the end of the month.

 

HINT: either way, I won't need to change the thread title 8)

Walesy was only dropped 40mm and had to drive like the boot was full of nitroglycerine.

Ok so quick update, my project is somewhat on hold due to fund shortage, the tax runs out at the end of the month so I've got to get it MOTd and taxed by then (I haven't anywhere off road to store it, so may as well be driving it)

 

Currently rebuilding and polishing a KR head to go on (may as well do it properly - thanks quicky1980 for your wisdom and help on Sat) and then once he's back on the road I'll sell my escort to pay for the rest of the project.

 

Not ideal, but by doing it this way, I've got the money from the escort to pay for parts and I can also make a few quid back selling the 16v with management as a drop in conversion. Not to mention the saved costs of only one car on the road.

 

The good news is obviously that I'll be driving the C each and every day in a couple of weeks time :D Can't wait.

 

And yes, the lowered suspension is going on too Sam! :p

Pfffft, can't remember dude, I never had the kit fitted to my car if you remember - I think it might be 60mm tho?
