Ahh, you spoiled my fun - I was gonna say "ooh, you mean the Alpine White one?" and everyone would have been wondering where the hell a white car was in that pic

Here is the interior of it...

The car itself is incredibly rare but one cool thing on the interior - notice the arm rest above the handbrake? One off by Karmann for their then Chairman as this used to be his car. Only done 11,000km apparently!

Hmmm, leather interior...karman interior,..manky steering wheel...

LOOKS BLOODY NORMAL!

edit: Is there something different on the exterior?

Steering wheel I think is fairly unique too - never seen one like it!

PMSL.

It is not a pre-production model, in fact it has 11,000km on the clock - nor was it used for R&D either.

It's not the pickup in the pic, its the one behind.

suspiciously too much glass... is it a 4-door or some kind of deviant stretch job?

Well ok.. i'm going to fess up because its gone on long enough.

As far as we knew 16VG60 Corrado's didn't really exist beyond those bright yellow body kitted VWM ones.

Brefords story about there being standard looking 16VG60's is true though. We thought the one in the basement was smashed to pieces but it turned out that wasn't quite true. We walked down there (amongst some nice machinery - a gleaming red Escort Cossie with 56km on the clock anyone?) to see this Corrado - opened the door, popped the bonnet and there was a nice VWM 16VG60 lump nestled under the engine bay.

Apparently as I said earlier the car belonged to the then chairman of Karmann. We didn't get to start it (flat battery and out of fuel apparently) but it was there in all its glory. We're not quite sure how it came into existance as the paint code sticker in the boot shows it as an Alpine White Corrado G60 with grey cloth seats (and how can the incorrect paint sticker be on TOP of the wrong colour?!) - not dark grey with heated leathers and a 16vG60 lump under the bonnet ;)

I'm going to run from the others though now.. we tried to keep this a secret but I can't bear to keep winding you up any more :)

What I wouldn't have given to have taken it out for a spin around Osnabruck! :(

This car also ran the revised 240ps ecu as far as my sources tell me. I have seen some pictures of this in the past too. and there was also documention on this car on the old next generation dubs site which unfortunatly is no longer around.
