potatonet 0 Posted November 1, 2006 ok guys turned the car off at 6:50 pm tried to turn it on at 7:30 am and my battery was dead, just had the battery replaced (month ago) and the alternator is putting out 14.1V... it slowly leaks out, this has happened a few times in the past month, but my question is what is a common source of this problem in a corrado? my friend said it might be my sunroof motor... catch_twotwo 0 Posted November 1, 2006 If you suspect it then remove the fuse and see ?
CrazyDave 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I'd disconnect the battery, and connect an ammeter in series with the live lead. Then pull all the fuses one by one until you see a big drop in current. Sounds like you've got quite a big drain going on so shouldn't be to difficult to find.
craigowl 0 Posted November 1, 2006 A number of us have reported mysterious battery draining behaviour with the Corrado. Our cool, wet climate for about seven months of the year does not help!
Phil K 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Some people have found it's the boot light not turning off however I doubt that would drain your battery that quickly! Mine is down to 10V and will not start if left for over 24hr... I suspect the alarm brain and need to get it looked at soon but for the time being I'm disconecting the battery or if it gets too low sticking it on charge in the shed... bloody annoying having to reset the clock and stereo settings every time I want to take the car out though :?
