Dynamat Hoodliner.

Hi all, I'm going to change my bonnet soundproofing and by reading all the posts on it dynamat hoodliner sounds a good idea, anybody bought any lately ? where and how much ? I don't think audioscape do it now. Cheers Chris.

I heard that you can buy stuff that's exactly the same as the original material from marine supply shops, and then cut it to size.

Once you take your old one off your engine will be noisy as fook!

 

I had to change bonnets, I kept my old lining problem is finding something that will stick it back down, going to have a look at a few adhesives next week in bedford.

 

Anyway, I looked at alternatives, one way would be to use lining off another vehicle, then cut to shape and secure into the bonnet support rails - this option would be cheap as well.

 

Dunno if any of this helps though - LOL!

 

Everything else just seemed expensive!

You can also buy the originals from VW I believe.

 

Indeed you can, but it's £70+VAT for the late-spec bonnets, not sure about earlies.

£82 for the early spec bonnets.

 

 

Why more for the early bonnets? Didnt think there would have been THAT much difference anyway.

 

plus and including vat?

 

seems pretty good to me. i like foam.
