Blue_Joe 0 Posted March 28, 2007 I've been searching for it everywhere but can't find anyone that has it in stock!
Walesy 0 Posted March 28, 2007 I heard that you can buy stuff that's exactly the same as the original material from marine supply shops, and then cut it to size.
blue95 0 Posted April 5, 2007 Once you take your old one off your engine will be noisy as fook! I had to change bonnets, I kept my old lining problem is finding something that will stick it back down, going to have a look at a few adhesives next week in bedford. Anyway, I looked at alternatives, one way would be to use lining off another vehicle, then cut to shape and secure into the bonnet support rails - this option would be cheap as well. Dunno if any of this helps though - LOL! Everything else just seemed expensive!
Stan 24v 0 Posted April 5, 2007 You can also buy the originals from VW I believe.
dinkus 10 Posted April 5, 2007 You can also buy the originals from VW I believe. Indeed you can, but it's £70+VAT for the late-spec bonnets, not sure about earlies.
shawshankkid 1 Posted April 5, 2007 £82 for the early spec bonnets.
Critical_Mass 10 Posted April 5, 2007 £82 for the early spec bonnets. Why more for the early bonnets? Didnt think there would have been THAT much difference anyway.

dinkus 10 Posted April 5, 2007 Not entirely sure that it would only be £70 for the late stuff either...
