CIPO 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Anyone used them? Are they any good?
biggrim 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Got em on my G60. No complaints. Not has it long though. Anyone else?
G60Dan 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Had them on my RS turbo, found them a bit slippy in the wet. I'm currently running Egale F1's on my Corrado, I wouldn't use any other tyre now. They are wicked! If you can afford the extra give them a go!
Bally 0 Posted October 30, 2003 I've had loads of Avons & am running some old Avon's on the front, don't really think much of them.. I agree with Dan on the F1's.. I'm running Yokos at the mo on the rear.. seem like good tyres so far.. :D thibking of getting F1's for the front though... :)
G60Dan 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Yok's are just as good as the F1's, but are a very soft tyre and wear out very quickly IMO I think you'd see more use from the F1's
Bally 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Yeah I agree mate, will get the F1's for the front then... :D
RobyD 0 Posted October 30, 2003 F1s wear down VERY quickly too and are very expensive whereas Yokos are'nt too badly priced
Bally 0 Posted October 30, 2003 hmmm what do to then... everyone has different views.. see what happens..
G60Dan 0 Posted October 30, 2003 I'd say the F1's were soft compared to the likes of the Avon's, but in my experience the Yoks didn't last me very long at all asn are a softer tyre. Just my 2pence worth
PhatVR6 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Try Toyo T1S Proxes, good tyres for the price.
Bally 0 Posted October 30, 2003 hmm, I've had Toyo T1's too on my old car (it went through tyres like melted butter on toast) found them good, but went abit silly in the rain! felt like I was sliding everywhere!!! :?
joebrent 0 Posted October 30, 2003 I have Avon ZZ-3 on my tyres, aint sure how they differ from the ZZ-1, but, no complaints, last well, look nice and are nice and grippy!!
MADDUB 0 Posted October 30, 2003 i use the toyo t1s they are brill have tryed the yoks a539 and the avs sport and are crap yet to try the f1 but have been told that the P0 rossos are better will give them a go as well
RobyD 0 Posted October 30, 2003 anyone tried continental sportcontacts - fairly well priced Bally,do you remember how many miles your toyos lasted as im thinking of getting some and have heard mostly excellent comments.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 30, 2003 IIRC, the Continental SportContacts won tyre of the year a couple of times? Beat the likes of the F1 on wet/dry grip and noise levels. They're usually really expensive though! Kev

They're usually really expensive though! Yeah thats what i thought but you never hear/read about people rating them on forums such as this one. Topgear prices 195/45R16 Sport Cont V - £57.11 205/45R16 Sport Cont 83H - £69.09 These prices are similar to toyos and the like
