Yandards 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Ok I would like to know if it is possible to get squirt to output so that it can actuate a valve and an a/c coupling based on engine revs. I would also like to know if you can have a lower activation speed for climbing engine revs and then a higher activation speed for falling engine revs. Ta. What type of valve dude? Stepper motor?
Toad 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Ok I would like to know if it is possible to get squirt to output so that it can actuate a valve and an a/c coupling based on engine revs. Hmmmm. What's the plan Yan? This sounds interesting... Some sort of charge cooler assembly? AC coupling is just a live to the magnetic clutch, so shouln't be too hard to wire up, you could probably make some sort of piggyback system...

Er, don't want to say ATM just running some silly ideas around in my head. The valve would be a ball (No sniggering Dinkle) type valve, need to be able to shut something off completely. Sorry to be criptic, just want to know if what I think might be possible is..

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 10, 2007 Anything's possible ;-) CrazyDave will know more as he's an extensive squirter..... but he's dumping it as it's too limited for his needs apparently.... it can't even do sequential injector for instance. I looked into A/C controllers too and unlike Yan, I'm not going to be secretive as to why :D . Basically, I looked into using A/C for intake charge cooling purposes, rather than chilling my feet. It was gonna be too much aggro in the end and there aren't many ECUs that support it, MoTeC being one that does though....but £££££s. I guess if using A/C for "cryo" cooling purposes a simple on/off magnetic coupling might suffice, but in-car A/C requires other engine controls too. junkie 0 Posted September 10, 2007 Also the simple thing of gas leaks, when you bust the condenser with say a stone flying into it and your miles away from home, the only safe option would then be recovery to save the engine from dying if you were relying on that as your means of charge cooling.
