pete_griff 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Ok, I'm just about to change the lambda sensor on my 1993 VR6 - unfortunately I'm nowhere near the car at the moment so I can't tell you how many wires the original lambda has got going to it. However I was wondering if anyone knew the voltage specification for the lambda - I'm going to buy a universal one and solder on the original VW connection plug. VW want either £99 or £130 for a lambda and when you can get a universal one for £15 on ebay, so I know which one I'm going for as they do exactly the same thing. Anyways any help with this would be most appreciated, cheers gents
flusted 0 Posted October 12, 2007 theres a reason why vw charge that much, the ebay ones arent accurate will cause all sorts of running probs, and you will end up changing it to a bosch one, been there done that
shawshankkid 1 Posted October 12, 2007 I will agree with that too. remember the dealer lambda is guaranteed for 2 years, any probs in that time and they will check it, replace it and actualy fit it free !. and its guaranteed for another 2 years.
