Old Leather into New Car

Recommended Posts

I've my eye on a VR6 owned by an old lady locally.

Satin Silver '94 VR6

One Owner From New

65,000 miles

Full VW History

Winter pack (headlamp washers)

Mint condition and I know it's never been thrashed.

The only downside is its cloth interior.

However, all is not lost as my '91 16v has heated leather and I could do a wee swap.

My 16v has the older style interior with the electric window switches located differently than the VR6.

Will the older style interior swap over easy enough?

How complex is the wiring for the window switches and seats?

Cheers

it can swap over.....biggrim has a beige leatherstorm interior in his G60

but his window switches etc are seemingly a bit "strange"

Well, as long as I can use the switches to open and close the windows and not make the wheels fall off I'll be happy.

Maybe biggrim could give me a few pointers :?:

The mirrors are easy enough (only cause it was done before I bought the car) but as Roddy says, the windows are a bit interesting. I need to have a proper look at how they're wired up cause at the moment I get scared when I look at it. They work, but it's a lot of wires going everywhere
