rookierod 0 Posted May 26, 2009 . thank for reply i will get it looked at would this be cause of trying to pull and very light steering?
davidwort 0 Posted May 26, 2009 no, the camber is set by the suspension leg to hub bolts, the two big 18/19mm ones, not the ball joint to wishbone, that will alter the track. You can use camber correcting bolts from VW if you have problems obtaining enough negative camber with the standard setup.
Henny 0 Posted May 26, 2009 yup.... also check tyre pressures... too high will make the steering very light and give sod all feel... :)
rookierod 0 Posted May 26, 2009 any one no the part nubers or what to ask for the bolts? are they cam shape shafts then? have checked the pressures, i was guess was steering rack but got told cud be camber, camber sounds cheaper to look into first, though can get a rack fr 35 deliverd. StuartFZR400 0 Posted May 28, 2009 just have a gander at the camber; ie the suspension shock bottom two bolts; you'll notice the hub/disc will tilt away from you (top to bottom) if those bolts are undone. But if you're asking the question, then I doubt you've got the kit to do it - its not just by eye. I'd pay someone 40 to laser-align it up for you; they might check toe etc then too. I presume your tyres have worn oddly - if so, you'll need new rubber on there, or prepare to put up with more odd steering.
