install it and when i try to open it it comes up with a JREW.EXE error and must be closed.

dont know why im running xp and it used to work fine on my windows 2000

any ideas

Could it be a firewall problem? When I first ran Bentley, ZoneAlarm asked if I wated to allow JREW access to the internet, it came up with an error until I allowed it.

Did you try emulation mode? :?

okay so now i feel stupid, whats that

also if its cleaerer this is what happens

install disc, it starts and up pops the language selecter, choose us english and thats all that happens nothing else

if i try and open it all i get is the JREW.EXE error :mad:

Right Click [VW Corrado shortcut icon] - Click

[Property] - Click tab [Compatibility] - Check box [Emulation mode] - Choose

[Windows95/98/NT4.0/2000] - Click [OK]

Nah forget about the compatability mode it should work ok on xp (etka however needs to be run in 98/me mode) - the only probs i've seen are the IE6 ones...

 

Things to try...

 

Full windows update

reset web settings (from inside IE)

make sure you are admin of local machine or log on to pc with administrator account

download latest Java VM -

Search the folder where bentey was installed on the C drive and find symcjit.dll rename the file symcjit.old

 

I would uninstall the software first as messing around with emulation etc can stop the above 'fix' working.

 

This should work.

Yep, that should sort it on any Intel P4 (or that generation of celeron) machines 8)

Yo YO

I had this problem something to do with pentium processers.

Do a search on your computer for SYMCJIT.dll. When you find it rename it SYMCJIT.old.

This made it work first time for me. Check it out
