Supercharged 2 Posted July 28, 2009 As some of you will know from the weekend, Bill Brockbank's (Badger5s) Ibiza had a bit of a failure in the headgasket department when going round the track at Coombe... Check these out though - genuine original VW rad and exp bottle and no hoses blew off under cylinder pressure - amazing really although not sure if this is meant to happen or not? It should have but then the radiator cap is only designed to vent excess pressure build up that occurs as part of high water temps, it's not designed to cope with a large wedge of compressed engine fuel/air mix coming into the system.
