Mawrick 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Not sure if it helps, but some guy with a jetta VR6 did a guide here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1276409
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted August 7, 2009 its only a coulple of hose clips on the fuel filter and a clamp that holds the filter on....jack up the car at the offside rear and have a look it will explain its self.

fla 9 Posted August 7, 2009 you may find that one or other of the clips get stuck and will not let you pull the plastic housing down. Be careful and carefully lever the clip out. Then as above, its an easy swop. Use some copper grease on the new jubilees, not that you will need to open them for another 10 years!
Mawrick 0 Posted August 7, 2009 @supercharged Any chance you work at g-werks or? Just thought I'd ask :)

Use proper fuel line clips not Jubilee's if possible, Jubilee clips are not constant tension and will lead to the fuel line cracking. G-werks - Hehe - yeah just a bit of free advertising as they have helped me out a few times!
watto1986 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Cheers for the advice guys! The problem was that the pipe was deteriorated around the clips. I put proper fuel pipe clips on and hopefully have now solved the leak! Back to driving!
Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 9, 2009 did mine today, the fuel lines were clamped on with a little clip with a screw in it? is that right?
watto1986 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Thats what I used, they were jubilee clips but I think this is what caused the leak.
