could this be solved with the spacer used when fitting 312 audi callipers?

also there catching on the alloy really dont want to use spacers anything i can do?

for the calliper it looks as if your gonna have to find a spacer/washer to make it fit well, and as for the alloys touching you will probably need a thin spacer for that as well, as when fitting all mods you can run into problems, im not sure if there is any other way around it.

nope not in a hurry as my standard brakes are still on

i cant use spacers as the wheels are to wide for the car already i was thinking if the calliper was further out and i used a bigger disk i would have more clearance

like i said not something ive attempted,

but assumption would be that bigger discs may do what your after, depends on design of wheel really. but you need someone who knows what there on about before you part with cash.

err unfortunately id say go on edition38 and have a search through mk2 golf threads, maybe even post up the same on there.

As I see it, you have two options:

1) Space the calliper to suit the disks you have and then put a spacer in to move the wheel away from the calliper (yes, I know you don't want to do that, but it's what most people have had to do fitting this kind of calliper

2) Space the calliper even further back so they'll clear the wheels, and get some different offset disks (which sit further back from the wheel mounting face) to suit. This will give you the clearance you need on the wheel, and as you're going to have to use spacers on the calliper mounting anyway, seems a logical solution...

If you go with option 2, you may have to go with custom disks, in which case you may want to go with seperate bells and disks, which normally has the advantage of being lighter and so reducing unsprung weight... 8)

Good luck anyway... :)
