antinkariba 0 Posted November 27, 2009 while driving the other day, my car cut out. I did some poking around and found oil in the spark plusg - long story short I cleaned it all up, new rocker cover gaskets etc etc but when I went to start it I'm not getting a spark... I checked all the leads and wires to and from the Coil and to th distributor. Anyone have any ideas? it turns over fine just wont start! Its a 2.0lt ABF engine on J-Jet if that helps! davidwort 0 Posted November 27, 2009 fubar-ed hall sender? to test you need a diode test lamp probe (not a bulb test lamp -the current would be too high), connected to pins 2 and 6 on TCI-H control unit, operate starter motor and the diode should flicker. Toad 0 Posted November 27, 2009 Do you want me to pop over and give you a hand at some point?
antinkariba 0 Posted November 28, 2009 Do you want me to pop over and give you a hand at some point? If you are about that would be ace - I think its now the rotor arm. I put a new oil pack on and am getting spark from the coild pack lead that goes to the distributor, but nothing when I turn it over...
