How to fit a front upper strut brace?

Recommended Posts

I have a front upper strut brace. When I lined it up on the struts there are no holes alread there? Should there be? Also, there is a bolt with a cable attatched to either strut but not in the place where the holes are on the brace.

Has anyone fitted one? Did you just drill new holes?

Just found it strange as every other car I have had already had holes/ bolts there as that is how the suspension itself was fitted. Plus, it looks as though there were holes there but they have been filled and sprayed?

Lao, Will I have to go in from underneath to get a nut on the other end of bolt thread?

You will have to drill holes yourself mate. Dont drill where there are 'circles' on the turrets, these are spotwelds and hold the various layers of metal that make up the strut area together.

Hmmm - yeah these are a mare to fit and most I have seen have the cut outs for the ABS sesnor wiring...

I'd maybe think about selling yours and buying another
