daves16v 1 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm new to the VR so will have many q's but for now can anyone tell me what this is and where should it be attached? Circled in Red. It has an electrical connector which I've found has a plastic clip that attaches to the ABS pump (I think) but there is also a steel L shaped bracket hanging not secured. Sorry for the pic quality, only had my phone whilst I was working. Thanks
Toad 0 Posted March 28, 2010 It's a ballast resistor for something, it clips onto the ABS pump with a little bit of fiddling.

MikLSP 0 Posted March 28, 2010 Ha, join the club...I found the same thing just the other day. I've not got round to fixing it back on yet as I've had the other faults on my mind first and it doesn't seem to be doing any harm.

RW1 0 Posted March 29, 2010 The resistor is part of the EDL electrical circuit for driving the ABS pump motor. Not fitted means an ABS only brake system. .
