Rob_B 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Thats pretty dam impressive if you have bent a crank! what gives you the impression its bent? I know a man who snapped one in half in his mk2 gti! We wet ourselves when we found what had happened! How the hell it snapped we don't know!
Ginger60 0 Posted June 15, 2010 well the pulleys are true ive had them checked... so the wobble has to be the crank sureley guys?
Richardshoes 0 Posted June 16, 2010 How are you checking that? To check the crank for concentricity it would need to be out of the block. The only part you could check would be the two ends - clutch and pulley ends I mean. If you put a dti on the ends and turn it, this will highlight any issues. Supercharged 2 Posted June 19, 2010 Is this on a G60?? It's not uncommon for the face to get damaged if the pulley has come loose. It can be re-faced in situ and there is a proper VAG tool for this. Steve Cresswell has this (C&R) - suggest you get in contact and maybe get the car shipped up to him.
