stormseeker 0 Posted February 10, 2004 well, impressed as I was with the increased light output, I was in a bit of a hurry when I fitted the relays under the bonnet, and wasn't very happy with how they looked.... (cable ties and PVC tape == big mess !!! ) So when the main beam relay developed a sticking problem, I ripped them out and started again ;-) Now it looks a bit better... 8) 8) 8) Just need to fashion a small clear plastic cover (out of an old box :-) ) to give a bit of splash cover to the fuses..... Whaddya reckon?

davidwort 0 Posted February 11, 2004 One thing I would say is that exposed relays and connectors under the bonnet will get salt spray etc... into them over the winter, for the long term they really need better protection in this position. I bought a plastic box from maplins and housed all the relays and fuses inside this, requires four phillips screws to be removed to change a fuse, but I haven't had a single problem in four years of use. Just my 2p, David. much better. Just my 2p, David. Yeah - I was looking at a specialist suppliers catalogue at work the other day - found a weatherproof box with with transparent flip top lid which looks a bit like the fuse covers on the rad fan control relays. Looks nice but cost about 30 quid... hmmmmmmmm
