VR6Pete 0 Posted January 21, 2011 Hello, I've been a member on here for a while, not sure If I ever intruduced myself properly, some of you may know me from other forums / and that thing called real life :D. I am Pete, and I have ran The VR6 Owners Club for over 7 years now, great fun being able to help other like minded folk, so a huge sucess on that front! I'm on my 3rd VR6 now! My first mk3 VR6 had a little 80MPH run in with the nurburging :( so I dediced to build this bad boy: 221BHP mk2 VR6... was rapid :) but, I thought it was time to buy a house and all that, so sold it (big mistake) for some wonga for the house! now. house is done! so I bought this: bought as a non runner, needed head gasket, timing chains, matrix and everything else doing! got these; and and a load of other stuff, did a bit of this and that. and hopefully will be ready for an MOT in March following a mass of jobs... bonnet cable needs replacing too. will be fun! Here's my build thread! viewtopic.php?f=11&t=83314 enjoy, and might see you at some events this year! Pete
dukest 0 Posted January 21, 2011 good to have your knowledge from your other forum escapades Pete. it was a shame the mk2 didnt live, and then i was annoyed to miss out on the wheels from it 3rd or 4th hand from someone else last year too! will you be tracking the corrado at all? VR6Pete 0 Posted January 24, 2011 Hiya, thanks for the warm welcome. not sure what Im doing with the corrado once done! going to be a struggle running 2 cars as it is! but I will hopefully be at some of the VR6OC shows this year as ive not had a VR6 for over 2 years (running and on the road that is) I fancy doing some drag strip and possibly hill climbing though! I dont think I will go back to the ring... I think a wrote off VR6, 1.5k fine and a double hernia was enough for me! Sorry about the wheels mate :) They were awesome!! especially with the big brakes I had on it the mk2! suited it well. got a few more sh*tty jobs do on the corrado, bonnet cable etc... but at least everything mechanically is ok!
