ammo 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Hi Just wanting to know what if any parts have people bought from TPS recently. I've got a VR and as TPS supply genuine parts was wondering if they are a better alternative to dealers than say Gsf etc. Bought some US side markers from them today but without part numbers they couldn't help for what else they did for the corrado? Anyone dealt with them? Ammo
Kempy 0 Posted September 6, 2011 they are for me cause I get a discount. I think they are a shade cheaper anyway I think
8vMatt 1 Posted September 6, 2011 Get all my parts that are still available from them, very helpful and get a nice discount! I don't bother with GSF as they deal with pattern parts.
ammo 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Do they ask for part no and chassis no when looking etc? No listing of what they have available?
monzablau16v 0 Posted September 6, 2011 I buy almost all my stuff through TPS now. If you can get the 10% trade discount then it really knocks a fair bit off the ridiculous Corrado taxed prices... Just need to know someone in the trade who has an account at TPS, or get friendly with the TPS staff :)
RW1 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Do they ask for part no and chassis no when looking etc? No listing of what they have available? It would helpful to have the chassis number with you. Just like the dealer Parts Dept. Engne number as well if its a part in the bay area. .

I'll make note of them when I go down. Needing a full service kit. I take I should be able to get oil from them aswell? Sorry for the all the questions I'm a novice to this. fendervg 32 Posted September 6, 2011 Are there any branches in Northern Ireland or is it just mainland UK ?
mikkijayne 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Do they ask for part no and chassis no when looking etc? No listing of what they have available? They aren't a pattern parts place like GSF or ECP who only have certain things available that the aftermarket happen to make - they are VAGs official trade outlet. If its still available from VW then TPS can get it. But, its no use at all asking them for specific items for the Corrado - its too old and they don't know (or care) about the old stuff. They are there to service the motor trade who mostly deal with modern stuff. The best way is to find the part number yourself and give that to them. Go here: http://www.wagenstad.com/index.php?model=cor for the parts catalogue. :)
ammo 0 Posted September 7, 2011 Went to tps in Shelf (Halifax) today. Actually based behind main dealers near there garage area. Got a cheeky discount on top aswell. Don't seem to interested in corrado as such but good service all the same.
quicky1980 0 Posted September 7, 2011 Im on first nam basis with the guy in my local TPS, really nice guy and helpful. He said he remembers the corrado coming out new in the dealers where he worked.
blue95 0 Posted September 9, 2011 TPS were a life saver for me....really helped out with the parts and numbers with the 4wd and turbo build. Supplied me with endless diagrams and cross referenced other parts across the range I could use. Guys in my local branch were real petrol heads too. Things have changed over the last few years tho (think they got bought out), as they seem to be more sales/target driven. Still great tho and provide gen parts and prices often cheaper than ECP or GSF and with a discount if your cheeky enogh to ask!
