24V Renshaw

Renshaw project (probably going to sell / swap)

Recommended Posts

Finally got my bits back from the powder coaters and to say I am chuffed is an understatement!

They have cleaned up lovely and are properly coated in satin black.

Bit more detail of what went on...

Cleaned up the mounting points for the rear beam while I had chance as it was off. So ground them back to clean off any rusty patches, then treated all the metal with a rust remover, then sealered it all with underseal. Thought I might aswell while I had chance..

For those people that think the rear beam on a VR6 is the same as all the other corrados, I have definitive proof its not the case....

5mm wider per side and the size of the rear beam bushes is totally different, let alone the mounting points for the brake regulator.

I have to admit to having some help today..... she was able to get into all the little awkward places I couldn't ;)

Yep I ache from head to toe, but its worth it with the beam sitting in place.

Tomorrow evening is assembly of the rear beam bits, brakes etc.. but I have hit a stop on fitting the suspension as the concave washers are too small to fit the Konis....
