G232 KOF was the reg & it had a kamei front/rear/side skirt kit on it......which you cant buy now for love nor money

hi sorry how did you get the key done? how much and what was the process.. i currently have 3 keays for boot ignition and passenger door.. wud prefer just the one lol

 

I got the key from VW who matched it at the factory using the VIN number, but it sounds like you need to re-tumble your door a boot locks so that they match your ignition key,There a guide on the wiki some were

Did a 486 miles this weekend on a trip to wales and back, The car could not have been better, didn't miss beat. Only managed to get 34mpg... the very wet but smooth twisty welsh roads might have had something to do with that

Not too much happening with this at the moment, just sitting a the garage waiting for the nice weather to come back, did get a call form the power coaters today tho :)

The Wheels are ET25, but running spacers to make the fronts ET12.5 and the rears ET5

Went in for the MOT yesterday and it flew through, really pleased.

 

Time to enjoy it while the weathers good :)

Very very nice car. Like its been mentioned white cars are usually not liked but the rado looks as cool as ever in white. Keep up the good work.

On a different note i read on this thread about keys. i had a key cut from my local key / shoe repair shop. He placed my original in a coding machine to check he had the code to which he had, then cut the key and charged £21 for it thought that was a good buy. Only draw back there is no light on the key, but not to fussed about that. Just glad to have a spare as the car decided to lock itself with engine running! 45 mins later got the door open. :bonk:

Hi all!

I am thinking of putting my Corrado up for sale. I have not been around for a while, and I am not sure what the current prices are like, so I would appreciate if you could give me an idea of what my car is worth today. Details are as listed below:

It is a 1993 approx. 140 000 mile VW Corrado VR6 in white and has been unused and stored in a garage for the last five years. I have been the car owner since I purchased it in 2011. It has been well looked after with the regular interior and exterior wash/clean, tyre pressure checked, and it still starts from the first attempt. It hasn't been MOT-ed during its time in storage but was recently taken to the garage for assessment, and nothing major was identified (I will come back to this one once I have found the MOT paperwork).

The car has the following modifications:

·         Front wing indicators smoothed and relocated to the front bumper

·         Delocked door handles

·         Side moulding strips removed

·         Rooftop trim moulding removed and smoothed

·         Full cream genuine leather Porsche 944 tombstone front seats

·         Original VR6 retrimmed in matching cream genuine leather rear seats and door cards

·         Audioscape Door Speaker Builds / Pods / Pockets

·         Tweeters mounted in front door cards

·         Richbrook gear knob

·         Dewipered rear windscreen

·         Debadged rear panel

·         Compomotive TH Line 16" 5x100 stud pattern alloy wheels

·         Lowered suspension

·         Various trim pieces to tidy up the interior

·         Fixed the temperature gauge

·         All red rear lights

·         Breu Coil pack

·         OEM red HT leads

·         OEM NKG Plugs

·         New painted engine plastics

·         New OEM 3 Slat grill and silver badge

·         Lupo wipers and aero blades

·         New black scripted floor mats

·         Nothelle Nardi 350mm steering wheel

·         Polyurethane engine mounts

·         BMC CDA air filter

·         Bonrath PR power pipe

·         New spare key

·         OEM Expansion tank and Blue cap

·         Ashtray cup holder

·         Short shifter

·         Lamin-X front indicators to match US side markers

·         Power coated inlet manifold, Rocker cover, belt tension, bonnet stay and brackets

·         New bonnet insulation foam (not fitted)

·         Wide-angle tinted door mirrors (driver's side has a crack)

 

As you might expect from a car of this age, there are some stone chips to the paint work and alloys, very minor rust bubbles (nothing at all serious) and a couple of negative points such as:

·         Sunroof does not tilt or slide (repair kit included)

·         Heater controls do not fully function

·         Cracked driver’s side wing mirror

·         Sometimes suffers from erratic idle

·         Could do with a bit of TLC

I would get it through a MOT to achieve max value, you’ll be looking at loosing a fair bit without one.

In my humble opinion I’d say it’s worth about 7k but put it up for 8.5k,at the end of the day you can always drop your price and definitely put an mot on it like Shaun said.But if I was you I wouldn’t hand around, every time you run on the news it’s doom and gloom for the economy so that usually means people less likely to spend the money they have.By the way the car looks great with some lovely sought after additions, good luck .

Well ive been a bit slow in getting this sorted. But

4 new Conti Sport Contact 3 Tyres

New wingmirrors

new ARB linkage

And.... MOT for the first time in over 6years of being in storage.

 

I will now now wait until early next year before deciding, but i will more than likely be putting this up for sale 😞
