owen g60 10 Posted March 3, 2013 I've just bought a 1.5 bar sensor due to the pressures I'm running. Will a remap be required for this?
G60_Marc 0 Posted March 3, 2013 A standard remap wont work correctly. bar-tek among others sell higher kpa sensor chips. ---------- Post added at 11:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:16 PM ---------- http://www.bar-tek-tuning.com/lshop,showdetail,3392,en,1362353134-3423,1139125133.1150577408.1163014872,2160179,2,Tshowrub--1139125133.1150577408.1163014872,.htm
JMC 0 Posted March 4, 2013 Yes, Owen you'll need a remap for this. My understanding is that the voltage range they output to is the same as for the standard map sensor, however the absolute voltage for each pressure is obviously different as the range of pressures the sensor can read is different. I.e. say the original pressure sensor reads 1V at 0.5 bar, then the 1.5bar sensor may we read 1v at 0.8 bar. May well impact the ISV operation as well (if you still have that) and the pressure where it bleeds off at as that is pressure related. What pressures are you running and have you done any head work? I'm running my 1.9l with a fast road head and a 65mm pulley and I get no more than 12psi even at full throttle with a fresh charger as the whole lot breathes efficiently.
