Jonny777 0 Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) How do all! Been out of Corrado ownership for a couple of years since i got rid of my Dark Burgundy Pearl 2.0 16V. Looked like this: Absolutely missed it like hell when I got rid of it but I REALLY wanted a VR6, so it had to happen. I was just looking for the right one at the right money. Fortunately a close family member was selling his and I offered him a very little amount of money. After some umming and arring he thought why not! So I went down the next day and got the thing brought back to Yorkshire and shoved it in the garage! Absolutely over the moon with it! It isn't perfect by any means but for the money that I paid for it everything could've been broken and i'd still got a bargain. K Reg early VR6, I think its Moonlight Blue Pearl, but I haven't double checked the paint code yet. Its definitely blue anyway! 92k on the clocks. Engine still pulls like a train, no noises, whines or knocks. Handles well even on the standard suspension! Interior is mint aside from some manky mats, easy to sort though. Back seats have the hump with a completely mint first aid kit still in there too! Only modifications so far are a Jetex catback exhaust and a K&N cone air filter. It is however recorded as a Cat D write off from quite a few years ago. But you couldn't tell! Just the fact theres no rear VW badge gives it a away. Some pics: Plans are to sort the immediate problems but its a long term project so will just put time into it as and when I can. At the moment the temp gauge isn't working, the sunroof is in a very weird position and doesn't slide, just tilts. I think the heater matrix is about to blow up as i've had some steamy windows on the passenger side whilst driving it and it need brakes all round with brake pipes and flexi hoses so will most likely get a lot of uprated items to replace them. The wheels could also do with a refurb as they have a lot of weird marks on them and quite a bit of corrosion in places. It will be getting modified but not to the extent of my DBP one as I want this to be more of an original looking OEM car. So there it is! Any comments welcome! Jonny777 0 Posted May 29, 2013 well done, nice mow mileage car Cheers, I haven't seen any others for sale with less mileage! Most for the 4 times the price I paid for this one.! welcome back to ownership! Looks like you've got a great bargain there! Wish mine had such low miles. Good luck with it! Thanks! :) Looks like a good purchase, kreg same as mine too. Look forward to seeing it develop. It seems so, I know it's going to be a money pit as all Corrados are, but I've got time. Looks a nice original car, good find ! I think so! The bonus of buying a car from family! Looks a good example, and a credit to the family member you bought it from! Your old DBP Valver looks amazballs in those pics too, so looking forward to seeing progress on this! :thumbleft: Haha! Cheers mate, my old one is still going with a good mate of mine so hopefully will look like that again soon. The VR6 is going to be more OEM+ i'm hoping with some motorsport style wheels I think. Would love a set of Leather Recaro's for it but I could buy this Corrado again twice for the same price as one set of them!
