loepan 11 Posted October 14, 2013 run a light from the pos and neg of the wires in the fan housing?
loepan 11 Posted October 15, 2013 ran a light, light doesn't work 1-3 lights up on 4, I presume this is a switch problem?
wbx6dan 10 Posted October 15, 2013 Certainly looks that way the switches do wear out and break you could bridge a live wire through the connector pins to see if the fan worked then you know for sure (remember to live the earth connected aswell) Dan
loepan 11 Posted October 15, 2013 hmm interesting, will have a mooch tomorrow. thanks for the tips had a look at my sunroof today, which seems to work ok manually, ordered a new motor for cheap as im getting a live feed to it, didn't work at all firstly then had a fiddle with it and now it moves it slightly. so I took the motor out and it seems to be intermittent, will go back and forth o.k fully functioning some times and then nothing at all other times ill try the new motor, im hoping its not intermittent power....if it is I may just close it and disconnect it:bonk:
robrado974 1 Posted October 15, 2013 Proberbly will be the motor , mine is playing up too , nice to see you are getting on with sorting bits out . Rob
loepan 11 Posted October 17, 2013 well sorted the fan issue out. 1st I soldered a new resistor to the motor but mine still only worked on 4, took dans advice and hooked it up to a light here is the initial results so at the end of the video the s(shape) bent metal was not making correct contact in the switch runner. I used this thread: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=47180 then got this as results thought I would post up this info, maybe helpful.... right on to the sunroof! loepan 11 Posted June 19, 2014 cheers all, Jamie the seats came up better than I expected to be honest, they were badly cracked and scuffed, I used gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner for hours working it in with a toothbrush, this really exposed how bad they was, I thought I would give 'scuff masters' liquid leather repair ago before going down a retrim route and wow what a result, if anyone has cracked or worn leather I would suggest this first. the site has all corrado spec based colours too so you know it will match and was super cheeeep like the budgie. I also found £1.25 down the drivers side seat base.....brucey bonus haha hi to all my fellow devonians.....I expect to see you all at the tottaly vag show in September! ;-) wbx6dan...you had yours out much in this lovely weather? seen a g60 parked in wooly the other day j207 mrg took a quick pic

g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted June 19, 2014 yeah off the internet http://www.liquidleather.com/scuffs.htm haven't been to totally vag show before, have you? don't think I was ever aware if any previous ones, so a complete newby to the show thanks leopan. I have been considering using gliptone products for some time as it was recommended could I ask - did you use the GT12 liquid leather cleaner, then the GT11 conditioner & then the scuffmaster? thanks
loepan 11 Posted June 19, 2014 yeah that's right I gave them a general soapy clean, then used the gt12 cleaner and aggravated it in with a soft brush, but for the state mine was in, I needed to do bit by bit with a toothbrush one bottle did my whole interior including door cards and I used it liberally, it is good stuff, you see it working a lot clearer by looking at the stitching colours. I then conditioned the leather using the gt11 all over and left for a few days before using the scuff master I used a safe alcohol based wipe quickly just over the deeper cracks to make sure they were clean and the scuff master would then adhere into the cracks and stay there (leave to dry) then I used the scuff master (purchased 250ml) way more than enough to do scuffs all round applying it with one of the wife's new 'war paint' sponges coat by coat letting it dry inbetween and once finished left for a few days (out of the sun) then re applied the conditioner after, because I had the interior out it was easy to take my time, but I cant stress enough how important the cleaning part is, I got a bit bored and could have cleaned my door cards a bit more and they would have turned out better.. I got the leather cleaner and conditioner from cleanyourcar.co.uk and only purchased the liquid leather (scuffmaster) on its own when I first used it and it was covered I thought the product may re-crack in the same places as you apply pressure on the bolster....but its showing no sign of that and it looks almost new! was really pleased with the results can recommend highly
