Kempy 0 Posted November 27, 2013 Evening My abs light doesnt work, I tested the abs with another light from another car and it lit up and went out as it should. Looks like the bulb is gone and a resistor. The whole thing itself are going for £30 on ebay and im not paying that. Anyone bothered to fix one before? or want to sell one a bit cheaper? Thanks
seanl82 23 Posted November 27, 2013 Find out the value (resistance) of the resistor, and buy one/strip and an orange LED from Maplins, get your soldering iron out, and save yourself £29. So long as the tracks on the PCB are OK, it'll be a doddle. Even if the tracks are a bit knackered, they can easily be repaired. :smug:

Kempy 0 Posted November 27, 2013 I might go for a blue LED and have Green? ABS light lol
seanl82 23 Posted November 28, 2013 You can get take the filter out, its just a thin plastic insert. When I did my ABS light "fix" I only had red leds and they are very bright. I've just stuck some tint film over the top of the filter, then put it back in to tone it down a bit.
eugopnosaj 0 Posted November 28, 2013 I have a red light in my Valver and blue in my VR! I might have a spare ABS light PCB somewhere if its needed, I'll have a look later when I get home
