Kempy 0 Posted January 31, 2014 This is proving very difficult to sort.. Two hoses have been bought and they are both too narrow, what should the diameter be? Internal? Thanks
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted February 1, 2014 I've got a box full of hoses mate, also depends on the type of rad you have fitted. A/C or no A/C?
Kempy 0 Posted February 1, 2014 I'd prefer a new hose tbh, but it's a non.ac, manual car.

Kempy 0 Posted February 2, 2014 It's the same part both of those sites. A gates '3113' they reference the same part number as the hoses I've bought already and they were too narrow. I bought these. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=350984749215
vw rule 19 Posted February 2, 2014 Hello mate, cool fair play you've got one. The bottom hose with part number 191-121-051E this is normally used on most 4 cylinder 8v / 16v engines from the 1980s and 1990s mainly MK2 / MK3 Golf and the Corrado. Where as the top hose can be slightly different, between the 4 cylinder 8v / 16v engines. Part number 191-121-101P is for 2.0 8v (2E eng code - might fit ADY eng code as well) This is a longer hose than the 16v one as the 8v engines sit back further, so are closer to the bulk head but a little further away from the radiator. Part number 191-121-101AC is for 1.8 16v / 2.0 16v (KR / 9A eng codes) This hose is shorter than the 8v one above due to the way the alloy inlet manifold, folds up and over the front side of the cylinder head, so for this reason VW fitted a plastic triangle coolant housing, that pokes through between the inlet manifold branches, so making it a lot closer to the radiator. Just found this link for future reference for anyone that needs it. http://autopartmaster.com/en/?action=catalog_show&cat=vw&t_id=111258&added_=VOLKSWAGEN%20Scirocco/Corrado%201991 Hope this helps. Kempy 0 Posted February 2, 2014 Length and shape is fine but it's the diameter that seems off.

diarmaid16 1 Posted February 17, 2014 Right kempy. I have one with the part no. 191 121 101 AC. Is that the one you're after?
Kempy 0 Posted February 17, 2014 Does your car have ac or an automatic?
Kempy 0 Posted February 17, 2014 That part number isn't the same as the part on etka/vagcat. 191121051E is the part number on parts catalogue, I've not got the hose, so I can't check the number on it.
