I understand that the 4wd 480bhp VR6 turbo Corrado, built @ Dubsport is likely to be for sale soon. Having seen the RR powergraph it destroys their 1.8T all across the range with 470 lb/ft torque, and their 1.8T has run a 3.15 second 0-60. In all honesty who would want a Corrado that powerful and quick

I saw it last time i was there ( a couple of months ago). Apparently the owner has spent over 20k on it, so shouldn't think he'll be selling it anywhere near my reaches....

How long does the head gasket and the crank last when a VR6 is pushing nearly 500 lbft?!

I'm sure someone here can work out what the force exerted on the crank is from that..!

And, amusingly, it's using a rallye rear diff  that'l lastbaot 5 mintues....

as for £20k! I reckon mine will have cost me abot £8K, and I reckon I can turbo it for under £4K.

They're the least of your worries......cranks, internals and HGs exist to cope with that.

The clutch and transmission are my biggest concern....

A T3/T4 based kit costs around $4000 from the states, + getting it over here, + rebuilding the short motor with forged pistons, + custom intercooler work + HD clutch, + raceware studs and headbolts. I reckon to build it to Stealth standards will cost you nearer £7 - £8K than 4.....

And that kit price is for 300bhp...... Dubsport's is 470! No way can you get 470 bhp for 4 grand, home made or not.

I've already got raceware studs and aheavy duty clutch.

£1000 would sort the turbo.

£500 would sort the intercooler and piping.

Another £500 would sort the manifold and downpipe

£500 for dump valve, and wastegate and all the other turbo related gubbings

£500 should cover the fuelling and mapping.

I can get metal head gaskets made

£600 shold sort a set of roged JE pistons, and another £100 for the boring work.

That's easily under £4000.
