One very smart Corrado

Recommended Posts

We bought 31 of them direct from Schrick at just over £1000 GBP each, including tax. That's £500 + TAX cheaper than RRP! Are there many VR6 (Golf and Corrado) drivers in Japan that would be interested in a Schrick Group buy?

£1000 is still a lot of money but all 31 of us have agreed it's worth money because it makes the car so much better to drive.

Only other source is eBay unfortunately.

Cheers

K

The way that the wheels fill the arches looks great do you know the size and offsets? Or if they are running spacers. I love the five spokes, but havent seen them in the UK.

Probably.....

first one

OZ racing 7.5-17/ET35

next one

RAYS VOLK RACING CHALLENGE 8.0-17/ET??? that wheel is for the Japanese car. he modified PCD to 110/14mm and change colors.

I bought paints from the DIY shop. not special paints. It is a regular acrylic paints spray can.

But surely the manifold paint would burn off?

There is no problem in it at present. It will surely happen if I run the circuit.

I recommend using the heat resistant spray paint for muffler.

At that time, I was out of stock of the heat resistant spray paints.

Interesting ... did you need to 'key' the manifold at all for the paint to stick>?

Awesome Corrado is Oichans.. I think at some point or other every Corrado enthusiast ends up finding Oichans gallery and admiring the amount of work thats gone into it. Similar threads to this seem to come up every few months :)

And those Oz Superleggra's on that first picture of that Corrado look sweet... just a shame Oz wheels cost too darn much! :(

He means 'roughing up' the metal to give the paint a key to bond to. No need on the manifold since it's rough and will absorb paint nicely.

Oichan, you need to get a Schrick on that engine  It's all about torque to show those Honda boys a thing or two 8)

Have a look at this:- http://www.mmm-five.net/Corrado/corrado.html

244lb/ft of torque!!!

think someone mentioned on a previous post about how japanese enthusiasts try and get a car to the same spec as the country of manufacture.....so in this case it will be LHD  and of course AFAIK Japan never saw the Corrado officially for sale there

Sorry many question

Keep an eye on here or http://www.vr6golf.co.uk as there may be another group buy. Schrick lower the cost to £1074 ( 217,736.35 Y) including tax if 20 are bought. Normal retail price in the UK is £1762 (357,217.36 Y) including tax. You would just add your name to the group buy list and pay by credit card.

I don't know how much it will cost to ship to Japan I'm afraid. About £40-£50?

It's worth the money
