Jon_vr6 1 Posted May 1, 2014 After a tool to remove and reuse the stepless ear clamps on the pcv/ air hoses on the corrado vr6 what are people using ? The clamp in question http://img0.fastenal.com/productimages/0427970_hr1c.jpg I know i can cut them off and replace with jubilees but want a tool that reuses the clamps and one that people of the forum recommend Cheers Jon
seanl82 23 Posted May 1, 2014 I managed to get the one for the pas fluid reservoir back on with a set of wire strippers! Not a permanent solution if you have a lot of them to do, but worked for me!
Supercharged 2 Posted May 1, 2014 This is what VAG use but I just have one of the cheap CV boot tools to crimp / do up... I'm not even sure if the tool pictured will allow you to undo / re-use - you use a torque wrench on it.

Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 1, 2014 Your meant to renew them each time I thought. I bought quite a cheap set of the replacement bands and the tool. Just looks like some pliers with a different head. Have done my driveshafts. Steering rack. Pas pipes etc with them and they work well. Can't remember the brand.
