VAG Ignition leads forearly VR6 with distributor

Hi all - I know these are expensive from VAG, but does anyone have the correct part numbers for a set of ignition leads for an early VR6 with dizzy, including the small lead from the coil to the distributor? I've looked at the catalogue, but it only seems to show a set for later cars with coilpacks, with the other leads being listed individually. Cheers

I think the leads are obsolete now. Just been out to my parts shed and cleaned the oil off a dizzy Part no for the dizzy is 123050024b

I've seen a coil pack set available from a German VAG dealer

I could be wrong but early leads are no more . Could try ringing Heritage ?

I think I have one set left in the Blue Igniter make, I will look. I can still get them but dealing with the new owners is not like the previous people.

 

The genuine numbers are

 

1) N 907 680 01 (obsolete, Classic OK)

2) N 905 402 08 (obsolete, Classic OK)

3) N 907 680 03 (still listed, none at Classic)

4) N 905 402 09 (obsolete UK, Classic OK)

5) N 905 402 05 (obsolete UK, Classic OK)

6) N 905 402 10 (obsolete UK, Classic OK)

C) N 100 529 02 (obsolete UK, Classic OK)

 

The trouble with the genuine leads from Classic is they are around 30 Euro's each!

Would the later coil pack leads work on a distributor car?

Yeah the only difference is you don't get the king lead from the distributor to the coil.

The dizzy ones are a few cm longer than the coilpack ones, not quite sure how much though. I have a king lead from Magnecor in 8mm in blue if you get stuck though!

I think I just got sorted through a combination of Classic Parts and a dealer in Germany - I'll let you know how I get on.

that's good to know. If you put dizzy leads on a coilpack engine they tend to flap around on the right hand side and look a little bit messy. Knowing your attention to detail, you wouldn't be impressed!
