VR6 Engine Cover

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all

Looking at a couple photos of VR6 bays, I came across this which I think looks great. BUT, does anyone know what the covers are, covering the wires? Never seen them before?

Either way looks great in my opinion!

Oooh looks very tidy in that bay! Great colour too. :norty:

The lead guides look custom though. I'd assume they split, or leads are accessed from below but it certainly makes the bay look very tidy indeed. Tons of work required to get an engine bay like that though and a PITA should something go wrong! Not sure what gearbox is mated to that one either but its not standard.

Throttle body has been changed to allow for accelerator cable to be re-routed, and I'd certainly never put my air filter right above the downpipe! :bonk:

RHD servo position and a DV near to it suggests forced induction? Maybe a trailered car awaiting intercooler set up?

I've not seen the covers before

Top 2 are turbo, bottom one is n/a. Covers are custom, probably smoothed and painted standard ones.

Seems a bit of a daft turbo setup just to clean the bay a bit, prefer to have some intercooler pipes and more power but each to their own.
