Harrier 1 Posted June 15, 2015 So, I noticed my ABS warning lamp wasn't working today, not really sure if it has ever worked though I would have thought I would have spotted it by now !? I popped out the lamp this afternoon and was a bit confused by the fact there are 2 plugs into the back of the lamp and the top red 2 pin plug doesn't have any corresponding pins in the lamp ? Does any one know if this is right or has someone removed that part of the lamp for some reason ? In which case I will need another lamp, the number on it is 535 919 235 BA Thanks for any help Daren
Jon_vr6 1 Posted June 15, 2015 Yeah thats correct i think the US market used the top part for something like a check engine light
Harrier 1 Posted June 15, 2015 Ok, thanks Jon, so I guess I might be needing a new lamp then. Anyone know of any other cause of the lamp not illuminating?
Jon_vr6 1 Posted June 15, 2015 Usually its the bulb if your good with a soldering iron solder a new one on and go from there.

Cressa 44 Posted June 15, 2015 My switch is exactly the same part number with exactly the same problem. I soldered a new lamp in a month ago, bingo it works. Never goes off now tho!! Its a cheap fix, just awkward to get a good solder joint without upsetting anything other joint on the circuit board
Harrier 1 Posted June 20, 2015 So picked up a bulb from Maplins and soldered it in, now working :) Unfortunately it stays on all the time now :censored: Terrific !
Roger Chatfield 0 Posted June 20, 2015 Welcome to the club mate, get vagcom on it, hopefully it will be a quick fix. Btw mine stays on but goes off after a run, luckily it's 6 miles to the mot station....lol Rog.
Harrier 1 Posted June 23, 2015 Well I put a multimeter on the wheel speed sensors and the nsf showed nothing. Replaced it this afternoon and the light didn't go straight out which concerned me, but after a 2 mile drive switched engine off and upon restart the lamp went out :):):)
