g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted September 29, 2015 OK if I am right you need to look at the SK number when there is a split between parts based on VIN number you need the one that matches your range IE your number 1) says 'VIN to S..000719' which is below your VIN of 1125 - thus not the right one 2) says 'VIN from S..000720' but doesn't mention a 'VIN to' figure - this could be the right one as your VIN comes after the 720 stated 3) doesn't seem to mention or care about VIN number 4) seems to contradict itself as it says 'VIN to 719' but then also 'VIN from 720' - however it also states 'Part detail extra install work req', which implies to me it is a kit of some form maybe probably worth removing your current old one & measuring to be sure or PM Thursdave on here as he works at VW parts & should be able to use his system to give you the correct one I have had similar issues with parts recently as when I ordered a new steering rack for the valver the one that arrived was wrong. it was figured out that the car reg was not enough & there was a split on VIN number which determined a coarse or fine spline hope that helps

Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 29, 2015 Can you get the lambda out with cat in place or do i need to remove the cat?
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted September 29, 2015 Can you get the lambda out with cat in place or do i need to remove the cat? not sure - I think they screw into the cat from the outside so would hope they unscrew ok
science 0 Posted September 29, 2015 Of the few I've done, most have come out with the cat in place. Depends if it's seized, give it a squirt with penetrating lubricant.
RFvr6 10 Posted September 29, 2015 if you get the vw part number they should be able to cross refer it to their part number, I could have a look for the vw part number if you give me your reg or vin no.
fendervg 32 Posted September 29, 2015 Got mine from VW Classic Parts. Hope it's the right one as I haven't fitted it yet! Worst case scenario I reckon would be having to fit a new loom or plug to it.
HummuH 10 Posted September 29, 2015 I had an issue with identifying the right Lambda recently, no part no's or anything to go with and a mix n'match engine & loom. These guys were very very helpful and sorted me out just in case you get stuck: http://www.lambdapower.co.uk
