massbad69 10 Posted June 5, 2016 Don't ask but I'm thinking of selling the car. Obviously it's nothing to do with the actual car or anything really but although I have enjoyed making it look as good as it does now, I'm just not getting much chance to use it and for whatever reason I feel like I'm moving away from the classic scene ?????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ???????????? Decisions decisions.
robinw 0 Posted June 5, 2016 From my brief visit today, it is obvious you have a very good looking car. If it was me, I would think very carefully as you might well immediately, regret your decision if you sell.

I just take mad turns at times, that's how I've sold my 4 mk1 Golfs, all spur of the moment decisions as if you think about things too long you won't ever sell. Harrier 1 Posted June 5, 2016 I had similar thoughts when I sold my last car a couple of years ago, got bored with shows etc, I think I was doing too much , soon missed it though so don't do so much now with this car but enjoy what little I do,

I want to do more hill walking and cycling as my belly is getting bigger and enjoyed climbing my first Munro last month.
ed_d82 11 Posted June 5, 2016 Might be interested if the price was right 👍

Funny enough I have been doing some cycling lately, used to do a lot but it has virtually stopped over the last few years .
massbad69 10 Posted June 5, 2016 Might be interested if the price was right The price will be the price if I come to sell it, I'm not daft and realise that nobody ever recoups their money but you always have to pay for quality  I will decide soon enough. massbad69 10 Posted June 5, 2016 Funny enough I have been doing some cycling lately, used to do a lot but it has virtually stopped over the last few years . Just got my gear out for tomorrow after work, just to do 10 miles a few times this week, to get the sore bum out of the way. Then get the road bike out for some miles. massbad69 10 Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) As I have VCDS I ran a fault scan and the car is fault free. I had bought the early cable from Ross Tech but it has the newer obd port so never needed it. Think I may well sell the car but I have no idea why and everyone is telling me to stop being so bl**dy stupid, I will think it over. massbad69 10 Posted June 15, 2016 Just spotted 3 sets of new original carpet mats for sale, so messaged a couple of the forum lads and we all bought a set each. Sold my spare rubber mats and rear spacers last week. Only a few weeks til I get the custom stainless exhaust fitted and I think I will get it a bit louder than I would usually choose ?? Also wondering if I should try and get a black tailpipe ??

massbad69 10 Posted June 19, 2016 Wee Father's Day morning on the VR. Full wash down and then blowdried using my Titan blower which saves using microfibres which could cause scratching. Great piece of kit from Screwfix for around £60, it's a wet and dry vac but can be used as a blower. Full car clay barred and a good coat of Collinite 476, no polish as its got a Ceramic coating. Then got the Solution Finish out and treated the roof rails, door handles and bump strips and they look excellent. Popped the Original mats in and put the rubbers and spare carpet mats in the loft.
