Driving my rado down a country track this afternoon and hit a lump of metal embedded in the road...............

 

So I stopped, got out and took a look underneath, to see oil pissing out of the sump! Ooops! Then look across to the 'box and see the clutch and flywheel spinning round, remember thinking that I really shouldn't be able to see that moving :cry:

 

Sump not really a prob, get one from G&S for about 30squid, but my 'Box..........EeeK! Thankfully it's only ripped part of the Bell Housing Off where the shit guard bolts too...

 

Can you weld Alloy????? Hope so Or I need a new 'Box :x

 

Think it may now be a good idea to raise her up 40 or 50mm!!!!!1

I'd DEFINATELY raise the suspension if I were you! ;) :?

 

Check all the way under the rest of the car too, you may have damaged a fuel or brake pipe and not notice until you either get a fuel leak or your brakes give up on you! :|

JB welding??? Is that a type of welding that welds alloy?

 

Can't sue the council as it was private road :(

 

Will get it raised when it goes to the garage, to get the sump fitted etc etc! would do it myself but I finish my 2 week hols today :mad: Typical eh?

jb weld is like araldite but much much better and stronger,it can be drilled and tapped its that good

as dazzyvr6 says, it's a type of glue... you can get it from Halfords.... It's dead easy to work and is stupidly strong when set, it'll sort that out with no problems whatsoever... 8)
