mort1414 0 Posted June 10, 2016 Hi all Am i right in believing the dealers are the best source for clutches on VR's??? I couldn't find a thread regarding this. Cheers
Dox 23 Posted June 10, 2016 Sachs or LUK should do the job for a standardish VR6 There's a voucher code in the GSF thread for this weekend
mort1414 0 Posted June 10, 2016 Cheers Dox Its for a r32 converted corrado but my standard one has been absolutely fine, however i do remember reading that vw had better quality/less problems even though the gsf were the same brand this still the case?? cheers
Fine wine, Belgian chocs. 1 Posted June 10, 2016 When I stripped mine down I found the original clutch was a Sachs so I bought another Sachs. I didn't pay dealer prices I just bought a Sachs one on line from somewhere or other. Fitted fine, works fine. No judder, no slip, not particularly heavy or light. Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 10, 2016 I've bought a sachs one from the dealer for something like £280, the exact same thing in the same box from eurocarparts for £120.
Wompa 0 Posted June 11, 2016 Ordered a Vw part from a guy in UK... Got the clutch and it was a Sachs with just Vw stamped on it. Compared to my friends sachs clutch he ordered and it was the same part.
