What does it say on the top of your VR6?

Mine Says "VR6 DOHC" but I've just been to one with a view to buy and is has "VR6 2.8"?? Is that right? mine is a K '93 & the other is a M '94

I think it may be just a different engine cover, is there any significant difference if it is a Golf engine? I mean noticeable physical difference? It looked excatly the same as mine

The only way is to read engine codes which I think are on the side of the block.

 

They have been listed on the forum before... i'll try searching to see if I can dig anything up.

Just had a quick look to see what mine says!

Just so you know, if you do want to get a new Corrado VR6 DOHC cover you'll need to pilfer it from another C because they don't make them any more.

They were actually going to build card readers into that strip along the left edge of the cover, but they ran out of time...

First car I've had where I have refused to add up what I've spent on it.

Being retired, I know the sums would show that you really do go loopy as you get older!
