Heater matrix - where to buy?

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I have just rebuilt my heater box and went to put in the valeo matrix I bought ages ago and it does'mt fit!

It's too large so it won't clip in properly, I'll add pictures in a sec. So I though I'd ring up the dealer and the want £190!!!

Where would you guys recommend I get on that'll fit? cars an early, 9a 16v non AC. Cheers.

give VW Heritage a call

ask for Luke, he helped me get to the bottom of the VW-USA recall for a pressure reducer in the matrix feed hose

you want a mk3 golf matrix as they had the pressure issue sorted on them

part number 1H2819031A

should be £24.09

GrizzlyBear, how did you sort this issue?

I had the exact same problem with my Valeo replacement. I removed the black plastic adapter from the bottom of the new heater matrix and it slotted into the housing snugly.

I haven't had a go yet bud but I will update you. I tried that but it's still to long so hopefully this heritage one will fit!
