Miikeyboy 10 Posted June 3, 2017 Can anyone recommended an engine stand for a VR6, not really sure what to look for, cheers Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted June 3, 2017 Top of the range Sealy version mate, i've run about 5 different engines on that stand, even though it's forbidden as stated in the instructions.. No problems test running fiat panda engines, my corrado turbo 16v engines, fiat tipo 1,6 engine, Vr6.. The only thing that got a bit worn was the steady pin that moves a bit within the locking hole on the engine locating plate.
Miikeyboy 10 Posted June 3, 2017 How do they attach? Do you have to have special jig or sommin to attach to the Engine? Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 3, 2017 I just use 3 bolts where the rear mount bracket sits
Miikeyboy 10 Posted June 3, 2017 So I have found this one would the plate on this work for that position you got yours in? Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 3, 2017 Looks pretty similar, is loads of adjustment in them.
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted June 4, 2017 Depends if you Wanna actually start and test run the engines. The one photoed above would also be Ideal, providing you only use it For static rebuilding the Engine.
Miikeyboy 10 Posted June 4, 2017 Yeah It would just be for static use just so I can strip and clean up the engine whilst it's out of the car Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 5, 2017 I use a crane, i love it, one of my favourite things. Any excuse to do a bit of craning
