BytDigit 10 Posted July 9, 2017 Hi all! One month ago, at the age of 40, and dreaming at this car for 20 years or so, I had the joy of buying my dream car. Yes, it is only a 2L 8V, but I do not need the power of the VR6, I also own a Focus ST with 300+ BHP, so I do not miss the adrenaline, but I still miss the sound of a VR6. No problem. It is a Corrado, it is MINE, and it's pristine! (Except for the damn "wet back carpet when raining" issue that just happened 2 days ago, that is :bonk: and  me.. Otherwise, so far, it is a joy. It turns heads on the streets (almost nobody has a clue what car this is..) , it raises people's interest at car shows.. Nice to see that people still love this piece of engineering and history.. Too bad such cars are not built anymore. Even worse that the number of Corrados gets lower every year...

SR_Neale 10 Posted July 11, 2017 Tsw venoms. What a marmite wheel. I love them but had to be 17s or bigger to look right.

Dox 23 Posted July 11, 2017 Tsw venoms. What a marmite wheel. I love them but had to be 17s or bigger to look right. They're not Venoms, Venoms have no dish, but they do look similar side on
BytDigit 10 Posted July 15, 2017 Thank you all for the nice words. The wheels are exactly Schmidts, not Venoms. They look ok, but it is true, I would have loved them on 17", not 16" as mine. Still, as officially / legally speaking, no Corrado should have wheels bigger than 15",.. I prefer not to be the subject to police's attention... BTW. I found the cause of the "wet back carpets when raining". It was the plastic membrane inside the door. It detached from the metal base of the door, and when it was raining, the water entering beside the window, was flowing inside the car, on the carpet. I repaired it today, by glueing a new layer of some kind of rubber glue and ... waiting for the next rain. @Dogma: Well, True, the 2gen Focus was never a great looking car, but, mate, the sound of the 5-cylinder Volvo engine, is ... I would describe it as an acoustic orgasm, same as the VR6's. And..orange. Yes, odd choice for the colour, but had no choice but to buy it like this because also these cars are rare.. And this one was in really good shape, so.. orange it is. And, when you press the pedal, believe me, you forget about the colour. You might want to search youtube for 5cylinder engine sound, and enjoy it.
