Ins time again .

Recommended Posts

I hate it !. I’ve got my renewal through from Adrian flux . £244.00. It’s only gone up £2.00, but I’m sure I can get it down . Any decent company’s online?.I get fed up with ringing round two or four places, repeating myself over and over .

Kind regards

Rob

£2 increase? Count yourself lucky :-D

I've been with AF for many years, and they've been sending me higher renewal prices for the last 3 years.

I think mine went from about £280 to £350 last year.

That's on a 1k mile usage policy... Daylight robbery

I've not actually tried getting a quote from them yet, but noticed this company over on the Retro Rides forum:

http://forum.retro-rides.org/thread/208438/retro-rides-insurance-discount-classicline

They give a 15% discount for RR members.

Although I guess it means filling in all your details for their quotation form which, as you say, is a pain in the arse when you're doing it for the umpteenth time

Thanks for the replies chaps. I will have a look online tonight. As I said it’s repeating all the mods, how long have you been driving etc . Then it’s “let me put you on hold sir while I speak to the manager to see if we can beat the last quote “. The phone bill will be as much as the insurance lol .

There's more to insurance than the cheapest premium, I had a non fault accident last year with Brentacre / Markerstudy and everything went to plan, premiums have increased though because even non fault mean you are an increased risk.

I've used Brentacre for years and would recommend them.

Thanks Dox . I could go with them or stay with flux , as they say they will match . That’s the problem with insurance companies, you never know how good they are until you have an accident.
