Our new home restoration!

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is of interest to folks but over the past 18months we have been restoring/rebuilding a 1830’s bungalow.

it was really damp and needed major work but had great potential. Anyway pics of when we bought it:

Need a bigger garage Chris! Looks like it has lots of potential as you say though mate, and a great plot in what looks like a cracking location! 👍 We've been doing similar over the past 2 years too.

Looks more 1930 (than 1830s)? My parents had a 1930s semi built with engineering brick, drilling any hole was a nightmare the bricks were so hard

Expensive business renovating property

That’s really nice Sean, hats off to you. Looks a really high standard of finish. Also looks like you’ve got a good view out the front.

Cheers guys! It’s took some work. Neighbours are absolutely fantastic, no complaints or anything.

Lucky you, we bought the worst house in the street, 1870s semi, damp, rot, cheap and nasty fixes, back to bare brick, all floors and ceilings replaced, kitchen and bathroom knocked down and rebuilt.

Looking great so far
