Sexy boy 0 Posted June 8, 2022 Hi guys, I'm new to this forum malarkey so just bare with me. Right, my Rado has a milltek bypass pipe replacing the cat. So needless to say ,has had a few slightly " not so kosha " emmitions passes at MOT time. Thing is my tester has retired and now I'm using a new garage who have notice my cat has escaped. FAIL !!! I know that I need to replace the cat and lambda sensor for future mot's. Any recommendations or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Dox 23 Posted June 8, 2022 Is lambda still fitted in the de cat?
Sexy boy 0 Posted June 8, 2022 Hi, I think it is . If not , could this be the cause of the bad emmitions?

Sexy boy 0 Posted June 9, 2022 Cheers for the info Shaun, but I've now got it booked in for a powerflow cat fitting . Hopefully this should get it through the emmitions and still retain the performance as this cat is a massive improvement on OE cats .👍
Dox 23 Posted June 9, 2022 Massive! Salesman’s talk, even fully decatted doesn’t give “Massive” gains. my advice is to ask here before investing in a salesman’s BS Theres not a mod done to these cars that members here past and present haven’t tried, you’re in the right place for good advice
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted June 10, 2022 as dox says above id be a little wary of what this person is claiming, if indeed they are i have a powerflow system on my 16v but that is pre-cat when i had the longlife fitted to the VR6 i had a 200 cell high flow cat fitted, as opposed to the OE cat being 400 cell (i think) the high flow cats allow the emissions to be as required but do not throttle the exhaust gases as much as OE, thus allow better flow output but this on its own would not give any performance gains at all also, an OE spec cat would not adversely effect the performance as this is what they are designed with what year & model is your rado? have you had a second opinion from an exhaust specialist or considered if the issue is being cause elsewhere?
