cool, i hate to tempt fate by saying this as it seems that every time i make a decision about what to do next something goes wrong to scupper my plans..... but, as I will probably never have the money, time and patience for the supercharger route, I am keen to see how much performance I can squeeze out of the VR as is. BBTB is in and BMC CDA is on the way. So my thoughts are turning to what next and I can lay my hands on one of these quite cheaply.

Im struggling with where to put this one i suppose technically its interior but not in the cockpit so im going with exterior. Anyway, my central locking is slow, i push the button on the keyfob or open the door key in lock styley (the result is the same) and i have to wait a few seconds before the car unlocks. My question is this, do I need a new pump or is it likely to be something else, as I dont wanna spend loads of cash on labour for somone to work out what it is if i dont have to. The stealers love their exploritory labour charges!

Does anyone have one of these, are they any good?

Kev's just told me he got rid of his old sump :cry: guess a new one would be better anyway. I know what im doing this weekend then dont i! Probably in the rain, hmm car jacked up on axle stands in the rain on gravel.... ....anyone not using their driveway this weekend! Plus im getting my BMC Filter soon so thats a good reason to :)

It depends what you mean by cheap mods but;- The BMC Carbon Dynamic Air filter seems to be quite popular, im getting mine in a few days, rumors are 7 or 8 extra BHP so I hear. Around £160.00 Alpina527 does a big bore throttle body at a good price, the quality is superb and gives a very nice throttle response, much less work on the right foot. I paid £120.00 exchange. Both very easy to fit.

How much is a new sump from VW i took a lump out of mine on the dodgy country roads last night and only saw the oil patch when i got in from work today!! Does it come with the sump bolt? I understand this is an asshole of a job any pointers?

I have just been fitting my new big bore TB (courtesy of alpina) and while doing so noticed some oil in the intake pipe. Is this normal, or if not is it something to worry about?

I was thinking the same thing its just they're listed with different part numbers.

I am looking to buy me a BMC Carbon Air Box I was gonna go to Stealth but have seen them cheaper elsewhere, only problem is the site i have seen them on list VR6 Vento and Passat and mk 3 and 4 Golf, which one do I want for my C?? Is there any one car that the corrado shares most of its parts with cos i had the same problem when buying shocks and im sure im not alone. Its a MKII Golf chassis right?
