  1. Best thing to do is take it to a specialist to check over. Where are you ?
  2. I'm pretty sure Sam is cool with you mate, sometimes people take him the wrong way, he has a unique style :) Sam doesnt do one offs, Danny is the man for that. He gets pretty busy flying around doing remaps so dont worry if you dont get an immediate response from him, drop him a mail and he'll sort you out.
  3. Hi mate Maybe you should try and catch Sam on AIM, he's mostly on there. His AIM name is: rigoroni
  4. Hi Mate Contact Danny from the US side of SNS Tuning in ATL, he will be able to help you out no problem. mailto:[email protected]
  5. Now thats what i call BOOST!! :D I'm sure you mean a 68mm pulley. Bets things he can do is: Port the charger properly by G-Werks/Pitstop 65mm Pulley, Red Top Injectors and our specific No Lag chip 268/276 Camshaft
  6. Thats true, but its best to stick with the Plats since they a are a very good plug. they have a very small electrode tip which results in a stronger spark. :D You may want to go through this: http://www.snstuning.com/DIY/Tips/tips.htm
  7. maybe not, as mentioned, some of the adjustable fpr's do not respond as well as the original bosch ones. Best thing to do is get a 3.5bar bosch fpr.
  8. Here's a good place to start: http://www.snstuning.com/DIY/Tips/tips.htm Might be better for you to book in with G_werks and let them take care of it for you
  9. Standard G60's are very tame, the big pulley really doesnt provide enough boost to make the G60 behave like a performance car should. Digi-Lag also retracts from the throttle response which we can remedy. A 68mm pulley, 3.5bar FPR and SNS No Lag chip will really change the car. BUT as you mentioned, the first thing to do before tuning is make sure everything is working as it should be. Check your sensors (Knock, lambda, temp) check your vac lines for boost leaks, check the ecu vac line is in good shape and 1m long etc. Maybe you should get your car over to G-Werks for a health check and tune.
  10. put the 3.5bar on, NOT the 3bar since the chip is designed to work on the higher pressure
  11. You shouldn't go higher than 3.5bar on the standard fuel pumps anyway because they will be pushed beyond their limits. You should try putting a 3.5bar Bosch regulator on the car. If this doesnt cure the prob then get your timing checked, may have moved. Also, try removing the oil vapour breather from the return boost tube, some cars throw a lot of vapour through the system which can cause pinking due to octane dilution.
  12. Hi mate you said you have an adjustable fpr. What is the make and model of this, as some of the adjustable ones do not fuel properly on the instant of full throttle (take longer to increase the pressure). If all components are working well ie knock sensor then try retarding ignition timing via the dizzy.
  13. Hmmm, not sure i like the sound of using a wipe on a dusty car, you'd be dragging the dirt/grit over the paintwork??
  14. Hi Mate I run the UK side of SNS Tuning. The US operation is based in ATL and run by Sam and Danny who are well know on the Vortex forum (Technical/G60). Here's the US site: http://www.snstuning.com Sam and Danny are always on AIM, they'll tell you all you need to know about G60 tuning and Digi Lag! :D
  15. I'm in the wrong market!!! Why bother spending years developing G60 maps to squeeze those horses out when I can sell blank chips to corsa/nova boys with a shiny label and go faster stripes!! 100BHP increase on your 1.1cc with the new custom SNS Chip!!!!!!   I could even do a special custom remap for any nova boy with one of those turbo things rammed up the exhaust!!!!!
  16. Yep, go for the intercooler first. Reliable constant cooling. I'd be interested in people's experiences with water injection on the G60. Anyone here used this set up?
  17. We've done a lot of map development with G60's running turbos. Danny (one of the US SNS tuners) is building a 16v turbo and hoping to hit the 300hp mark with it running 550cc injectors! He'll be a good person to talk to about putting turbo onto a G60. mail him on: mailto:[email protected]
  18. My close friends are Alfa nuts, one of them put the 2.5 V6 (now swapped for the 3 litre V6) into the 145 hatchback! The Alfa V6 is probably the best V6 engine out there, it has an incredible power band from 5500rpm to 7500rpm. 0-60 isn't where this engine is at its best, from 70 - 130 is where the engine shows its true colours. Believe me, there are not many cars out there which can keep up with my mates 145 3litre V6 (throttle bodies, race cam etc). Build quality of the car itself is improving, slap a coilover set and brake upgrade on the car and it will handle the V6 nicely.
  19.  fair enough!
  20. WOW, if those were the prices i'd retire happy!!! SNS No Lag Chip and pulley will only set you back £165. You'll also need a 3.5bar FPR for the chip which is a further £45. Not bad for the gain you get!
  21. Interesting The price of the chip is determined not by how much power it will add, but by the amount of development time we spend doing it. It'll probably be the same as the other chips we do. With regards to having exhaust/ported charger/head etc. i could also do this but dont really see the point why you would wanna spend so much on flowing and not £55 on a smaller pulley to make use of those mods? c'mon guys, bog standard cars with standard pulley, ok, i can see the point of view, but flowed charger, exhaust etc and 78mm pulley? Thats like buying an XBox and using it only for DVD's :)
  22. Had a hydra blade for a few years now, love it! reduces washing time and less likely to scratch than a chammy. Although whenevr i seem to wash and wax the car, it always rains a few hours later. Its happened so many times its scary. I even thought about taking the car to a drough ridden place and washing it there to summon the rains!!!
  23. Hi everyone We havent as of yet developed a No Lag map for the standard pulley due to lack of demand development time. However after a couple of enquiries i'd like to know how much demand there is amongst you guys/girls who want to keep the standard pulley. I dont expect there to be much of a power gain since boost will be standard, but we can bring the No Lag technology into it and improve throttle response and smoothness. So, who out there would be interested? Depending on the results, if there are enough people then we'll start the deveolpment! Regards Bilal - SNS UK
  24. MIGS!! That is so crap man!! You've already had your fair share of bad luck with the car, this sucks. Hope you get your money back mate.
