Cool, that instills a little more confidence in me for when I do mine next weekend :D
-
Dubforce, VW Vortex, Exchange and Mart, local free ads... :D
-
That got a dirty laugh outta me, never heard them called black eleven's before :D
-
never actually attempted it on a corrado, but it looks fairly straight forward. Judging from this thread about wheel bearings it all looks OK to me. Guess it comes down to your confidence with a spanner. :)
-
Sounds like he needs some engine flush...
-
Beat me to it. Still, a breathed on 2.0 lump could do it. scarlett how handy are you with port/polish, new cams, big valves, re-boring, red top injectors etc...? :D
-
careful with the off topics, that's how the back to the future thread started :D
-
We can tell that from the Faceparty profile ;) Ah I remember those, used to be a good giggle passing the time away at college. Friend of mine is still obsessed with it now, think he spends a lot of time just being abusive, or pretending to be a 21 year old hottie. Watch yerself, you have been warned

vodka works, actually fixing the things is a lot better. strangely addictive too. :D out of interest, does your driver's side wiper feel wobbly? if so, your linkage may be knackered. like mine was. replaced it this weekend, and now it's top notch again - with lupo wipers too btw. well worth checking. ta randal

Majik is selling some on ebay at the moment, check the ebay section for a linkie. randal

just checked GSF and they are doing the front w/bone bushes for 2.75 and the ARB inners for 1.30. 2.75 x 4 = £11 1.30 x 2 = £2.60 £13.60 for front end bushes - result :-D randal
-
I'm replacing my suspension, and wheel bearings and I figured I might as well replace the bushes whilst it's apart - just wondering how many I needed? tia randal

Just done the ib driving missions - Delorian :D what a pap car, oh well fits in nicely with my Quote-o-rama thread

priceless :D

Yay! 1. Replaced radiator with a new one that doesn't leak, and isn't rusted at the retaining clips. 2. Replaced wiper linkage (what a ****er to get out!) I now have wipers that push against the windscreen, and WORK. :D 3. Replaced all interior switches with ones that work, arn't melted and click right! 4. Wash and clean inside and out, removing a black sack full of crap. OK, that's not a day's work. It's been a meandering weekend of C tinkering :)
-
To quote another thread currently doing the rounds: "Bollocks" Oh well, there's always GT5. :)
-
Gents, Are we totally sure there's no Corrado in GT4? I've checked on the car list and there *should* be a '93 'rado in there. Or am I missing something in another thread? Clicky linky here ta randal

Damn they were always that high. There was me thinking my shocks were screwed. Oh wait, they are.
-
 Slightly different engine? By slight, do you mean swap? You will let me know if you decide to shift one of your borbet sets won'tcha? (pwetty pwease!)
-
Hmm, those inpros do look good on a grey rado. Uh-oh, there's a group buy on at the moment - kerching :D All I'd need then is some Borbet 'C's and both ours would be identical. (aestetically at any rate!)
-
lmfao, like it.
-
remember the tracking as well, and alignment.... /me re-reads post BURST?! WTF? Check they arn't rubbing on anything in the arch!

Hello, OK - Central locking - check the pump in the boot, rear quarter behind the faschia panel. Is it "moaning" when you turn the key/push the fob? Also, they are prone to leaking from the tubes, so that might have something to do with it. I ended up buying a new alarm, riping the old lot out as it was the alarm causing the problem. Not to mention it going off at 2am. Grr. Push start - not overly sure on that one, but it sounds like dodgy wiring from the button to the steering column. Auto-electrics are a beeeyatch, hire a professional :) Lights on the dash maybe down to the bulbs, but check all the fuses on the right hand side of the dash under the pop out cover. Windscreen wipers on the rado suck arse. Change them for the lupo wipers and arms (search for the post up top). Then you'll probably end up changing the wiper linkages as they wear stopping the blade making a decent contact on the wind screen. Lupo or not! Get your balance/tracking sorted - sounds like they are waaaaaay off! Haven't seen you drive so can't comment on that! Dirver seats can be repaired, but in all honesty you're better off scouring ebay and the forum for people selling complete interiors. I got mine for a reasonable price from Mr Henny, spruced things up nicely. Stereo should be pretty easy to crack, search through a few posts on here for pointers. ARRRRG - Heater matrix! Some people have managed to replace these without removing dash/half of car. Some haven't. There's shedloads of posts about them. Basically - the golden rule... ...searching is your friend. Hope that helps. All the best randal

Dubs ARE good, Fords are poop (with the obvious GT40 exception) If he keeps thinking that, I'm sure he'll turn out just fine. :D (just makes sure he makes it as a brain scientist so he can finance it!)

Excellent stuff, impromptu surprise - I bet his chums have heard the story 1001 times already! There's something to be said for starting young - age 6 I had Porsche Targas and Carerras all over my walls from a calendar my Dad used to have hanging in his workshop. Now, 18 years later I'm hideously besotted by cars and owning a money pit, grin machine... ...seek help for him now! :D
